Privacy Policy
Sonoduck is built to collect as little as possible. You can use the free course without an account, a name or an email.
What stays on your device
Your progress — lessons, XP, streak, album and settings — is stored in your browser’s local storage. It isn’t sent to us. Clearing your browser data erases it.
What we receive
- Emails you choose to give us (daily challenge sign-up, waitlist, contact form, program requests), with the message you write. We use them only to reply or send what you asked for. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
- Squads (optional class leaderboards): the nickname you choose, a random device ID, your weekly XP, streak and album count. No real name or email is required.
- Referrals and challenges: a random device ID so we can credit an invite. Challenge links contain only the nickname, view, time and grade you chose to share.
- Purchases are handled by our reseller and merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy, which processes your payment details, email and billing address under its own privacy policy. We receive your license key status and email to activate Pro; we never see your card.
- Analytics: if enabled, we use privacy-respecting product analytics and advertising measurement (for example the Meta Pixel) to understand which pages and campaigns work. These may set cookies or similar identifiers. You can block them with your browser’s tracking protection or an ad blocker; the app still works.
- Hosting logs: our host (Netlify) processes standard request data such as IP address to deliver the site and prevent abuse.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell personal information. We don’t ask for health information about you, and the “patients” on Sonoduck are simulated.
Children
Sonoduck is intended for learners aged 16 and over and is not directed to children under 13.
Your choices
To access, correct or delete anything we hold about you, use the contact form. We respond within 30 days.
